ACTARA belongs to a new chemical class neonicotinoids, used for the control of Aphids, whitefly & Jassids (sucking pests).

ACTARA is a robust insecticide which is fast acting and therefore rapidly taken up by the plants, in any situation.

Mode of action

Neonicotinoids act on a specific protein in the brain of pest insects (the nicotinic acetylcholin receptor), thus inhibiting their feeding reflex.

Rates of application

Apply 200g/ha –foliar application, 400g/ha- drench application

Targets

A broad spectrum of sucking, soil and leaf-feeding pests like aphids, jassids & whitefly.

Main crops

Vegetables, ornamentals, coffee, cotton, tropical plantations, rice and potatoes
