About SIFE

SIFE is an international non-profit organization that works with leaders in business and higher education to mobilize university students to make a difference in their communities while developing the skills to become socially responsible business leaders. Participating students form teams on their university campuses and apply business concepts to develop outreach projects that improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need. An annual series of regional and national competitions provides a forum for teams to present the results of their projects, and to be evaluated by business leaders serving as judges. National champion teams advance to the prestigious SIFE World Cup. In addition to the community aspect of the program, SIFE’s leadership and career initiatives create meaningful opportunities for learning and exchange among the participants as well as the placement of students and alumni with companies in search of emerging talent.
SIFE brings together a diverse network of university students, academic professionals and industry leaders around the shared mission of creating a better, more sustainable world through the positive power of business. By contributing their talents to projects that improve the lives of people worldwide, SIFE participants are demonstrating that individuals with a knowledge and passion for business can be a powerful force for change

Sife operates in 40 countries world wide with over 1500 teams and a total number of over 42,000 students

SIFE Kenya.

SIFE was launched in Kenya in 2003 following an M.O.U between SIFE International and the Inter Region Economic Network (IREN). SIFE Kenya mobilizes university students to make a difference in their communities while developing their skills to be socially responsible business leaders. SIFE International targets university students in over 1500 universities in 47 countries. The Kenyan program has expanded from 5 universities in 2003 to the present 14. 
SIFE Kenya works hand in hand with its sponsors who are mainly Private businesses, Non- governmental organisation as well as governmental organisation, amongst them is Syngenta East Africa Ltd, who’s Managing Director, Mr Andy Watt also couples up as the SIFE Kenya Business Advisory Board chair and proud to be associated with SIFE Kenya.
